News agencies are reporting today that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are preparing for coronavirus to become a pandemic here in the US, and the World Health Organization acknowledges “the opportunity is narrowing” to contain a worldwide outbreak.

The virus as of today has sickened almost 76,800 people worldwide and killed at least 2,250, with most of the cases and fatalities reported in China, where the disease was first detected last December.
Although I still believe panic is unwarranted, you need to ask yourself, looking at how China has locked down vast swaths of the country and restricted movement, whether you and your family have enough supplies (and enough medicine for chronically ill members) to last if you find yourself in the same situation.
